Welcome to Apex Weimaraners!
We are located in Midlothian, Texas, just south of Dallas and Fort Worth. Apex Weimaraners is home to 4 beautiful Weimaraners that are currently competing in the AKC show ring and field events. Our dogs live inside our home with us and are a very important part of our family.
We are relatively new to the world of competing with our dogs, but we have actually owned Weimaraners for over 30 years. These beautiful dogs have always been a part of our family, starting in college, through raising our 4 sons and now into our almost empty nest. We have really enjoyed meeting new people and learning new things since we have joined in the fun of showing our Weimaraners and entering them in hunt tests. I am certain Weimaraners will always be a part of our lives.
Apex Weimaraners started in 2016 (although we didn’t know it then) with the purchase of our very first show dog, Lucky, CH Brymar’s Lucky Charm JH. Lucky finished his AKC Champion title in the show ring and has recently started competing in hunt tests. He earned his AKC Junior Hunter title with an extra qualifying leg to spare! We definitely have plans to go further with this. Lucky absolutely LOVES to hunt!
While looking for another show puppy to add to our family, we we very fortunate to find a breeder in Colorado that was willing to take a chance on placing a pick puppy with a novice owner and mentor us along the way. Christine Trujillo with Cheyenne Weimaraners has been absolutely amazing! She has helped us learn the ropes in the Weimaraner world and also bred our 2 beautiful girls, Bella (CH Cheyenne’s Bee-You-T-Full @ Apex JH) who joined our family in 2018 and Shiloh (Cheyenne’s All Roads Lead Home @ Apex) who joined us in 2019.
The most recent addition to the Apex Weimaraner family is a big beautiful boy named Legend (GCH CH Wing It’s Silver Flying Legend). Legend came to us in May 2021 at almost 16 months old with 1 point in conformation and 1 Junior Hunter leg. He has since finished both his Champion and Grand Champion titles in only 2 1/2 months of showing! Legend will be in the field this fall to complete his Junior Hunter title and to train for Senior Hunter. He also has a few shows left on his schedule for 2021. This boy is one to keep an eye on!
